ECS Sports Update: Tonight's girls JV/Varsity Basketball game at Mackinaw City has been postponed. The new date/time is Monday, February 12 at 5:00 p.m. in Mackinaw City.


Attention Ellsworth Staff and Families: Due to predicted temperatures tomorrow and poor road conditions Ellsworth Community School will be closed for Friday, January 5.


Sports Update: Tonight's boys JV Basketball game has been cancelled. The boy Varsity game is still on with a new start time of 6:00 p.m. in Mackinaw City.

Attention Parents: Lake Leelanau St. Mary has decided not to make the trip to Ellsworth this evening. Tonight’s JV and Varsity girls bball games are cancelled.


Attention Middle/High School Students/Parents - The second semester begins on Tuesday, January 2. The last day to make schedule changes is Friday, January 5 by 3:00 p.m.


Middle/high school students will be in for a surprise when they return to school on Tuesday. The cafeteria is bigger! You'll be amazed at how much more room there is.

We hope everyone has had an enjoyable and relaxing Christmas Break. School will resume for all students in grades PK-12 at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2.

ECS Parents: Tomorrow (Friday) is a half-day of school for students in grades K-12. School will be dismissed at 11 am and no lunch will be served. School will resume at 8 am on Monday, January 2.


Elementary students are shopping for presents for family at the annual Santa Mall. Thanks to the PTO for providing this great opportunity for our students.

On Monday the ECS Building Trades class spent the entire day completing the framing for the new concession stand and press box at the elementary ball field. A huge THANK YOU to Mr. Certa!

Last night between the JV and Varsity home basketball games vs. Central Lake the State Championship CL-E football team was honored. It was a great demonstration of togetherness from two communities.
