
ECS 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students traveled to Bellaire this morning for a special showing of the movie Wonder. Thanks to Mrs. Kiteley, Mr. Barry, Mrs. Gee, and Mrs. Essenberg for taking the kids and to Mrs. Steenwyk and Mr. Slough for driving.

The Tip of the Mitt watershed council is facilitating five science lessons about water with the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. They will then complete a stewardship project as a class. Thanks to teachers Mr. Faivor and Mrs. Goslee for arranging the experience.


Building Trades students with the instruction of DKS Concrete are laying block at the new baseball dugouts at Hugh Campbell Field.

Thanksgiving Break - There will be no school for students in grades PK-12 beginning Wednesday, November 22. School will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27.

We are State Champions!!!! Congratulations to the CL-E football team! Join the Ellsworth and CL communities for a rally to honor the team tonight at 8:00 in the CL high school gym.

ECS is once again offering free Senior Citizen Athletics passes good for admission to all home sporting events for the 2017/18 season. Available in the main office or at the gate.


This morning secondary students spent time in their houses doing an activity designed by Mr. Dziadosz called Telestrations. The students had fun laughing and getting to know each other better.

Students in Mrs. Kiteley's math class spent the morning working on "math talk." It was great to see students working on talking like mathematicians by using good math vocabulary.

Students in Mrs. Terryberry's Life Skills class are perusing the grocery ads to creating a menu, grocery list, budget, and a schedule for cooking a Thanksgiving meal.


Congratulations to the ECS Voice of Democracy winners. Each of the three local winners gave their speech at Friday's Veterans Day program.

Congratulations to the Central Lake-Ellsworth football team on their victory today. They next take on Deckerville on Nov. 18 at 11 am at the Superior Dome in the State Finals.
